Meta Moments

Using the institute of a relationship as a source of analysis, I present a series of images, which exhibit the performative values that may be re-presented in the everyday. In general images such as these are avoided in the conventional model of the family album, however re-enactments are commonly played out as the agreed demonstration of the nature, function and limits of such a communal unit. I question, therefore what it is that we emulate, the performances or the people. Why we associate ourselves with representations of other family units and what pretext images such as these should really be recorded under.
